out of pocket
so been a little while since I posted , internet is out at home im posting from hospital room with a word or two to all my fellow scrapers recyclers or what ever you call your selves , this is the first time ive been in the hospital since I was 13 to get the tonssills pulled out. ok now for the words of wisdom of why ive been stuck here for the past week going stir crazy being woke up ever two hours stuck and probed with neddles two weeks ago I was tearing down a mobile home breacking out some alum windows managed to get small piece of glass in the right palm (yes im right handed) got glass out went on working. week later on Friday afternoon my hand started to swell of course started my own first aid treatment straight pin and Epson salts by sunday morning hand was three time its size so to shorten this up some how I wound up with staff infection in the hand don't know from where could have been from the mobile home I was tearing down the apartment at my 9 to 5 I was cleaning to get rent ready or a vist to my mother at the nursing home who knows point is take care of even the smallest open spot on your skin lesson learned here. getting out of here today but still may not be free to do as I want may still be in antibiotic at home for as much as two weeks not pills but through the vein. not the way pawpaw likes to operate so guy and gals be careful no mater how small the wound second think the electric and duct tape bandage. a week in here puts me a month behind at the 9 to 5 and in the back yard

Get better soon pawpaw. I always enjoy your posts and was wondering where you were. I hope you at least had some good looking nurses while you were laid up.

Most of us now have staph colozined on our skin. Its not hard to get it into cuts and such. I'm glad the liquid mold juice has got the infection under control. The bugs are always in a race with us humans and sometimes they get ahead. Hopfeuly they don't stay ahead but they're always in the race...

I keep bandages in the truck and have pavodine iodine to kill any buggies. I like neosporin better, the iodine keeps better in the truck.

Been there done that. Its amazing how slow time passes when you're waiting to go home!

Rest well and take it easy for awhile. It takes time to get back into the full swing of things. If I'm in the hospital to many more times, I'm gonna start getting my mail there. :)

get well soon. There is the reason i always wear gloves. I have done the duct tape bandage many times in my normal job when i was still doing production and would get yelled at by my wife for doing it. I guess there are benefits to being married to a ER nurse practitioner that can prescribe drugs and also stitch you up when you do something stupid. Just she looks at me like you are a idiot when you get asked when did you do this and you answer about 8 hours ago with a beer in hand and a big smile.
