Tip
Picked up a couple chop saws recently, those turned out to be pretty profitable. One of them was almost all cast aluminum other than the blade the motor and some screws and bolts. Then the other one was cast iron but I still ended up with half a pound of copper from it, the motor was really easy to break down, just used wire cutters and broke it down in 2 minutes. So if you ever see one, grab it, I found them pretty profitable, especially if they are the cast aluminum ones!

My wife picked one up one night from someones garbage one night, and I have been using it ever since.

They're a win-win, If they work, keep it, if they're burnt out, scrap it. Benefit either way

I've had a few now. Lots of cast al on em. Easy copper.
Use a BBQ lid as your "bucket" and no need for tare or use the bottom BBQ cast part... Usually has holes in it... drains rain water so you can stockpile "buckets" outside.
