Help with Board grading

Im am trying to decide on shipping these out or selling local, I just dont know what I can classify that as. My local guy has given me a rough estimate as to what he would pay me per board, but his price varies visit to visit. The larger boards are about 14x14in and the smaller 2 are about 3x6in. All of these boards came out of audio equipment if that helps with the classification. Thanks for the info. Im getting ready to make my first ewaste shippment, and want to make sure that I only ship the stuff that is worth it

That is worth shipping , IMHO . What were your local guys prices ranging in between ? High low . Them there look like hi grade to me based solely on the amount of ic chips .

I would say Telecom boards. $4.00+ / LB

the quote I got was $0.50 for first board, 1.50 for second, 3.50 for 3rd, and 1.50 for last. I think I have close to 100# of the larger boards and 30-40# of the smaller ones.

Ship them or tell your local buyer to step his game up lol

Anything double green (board wise) if it has some chips, goes in the box to ship, for me.

Getting my stuff to Ohio is about $1/lbs. so I just need to make sure it's worth it, or find a closer buyer that pays good. This will be my first time shipping, and all my boards are getting in my way in my garage. I think I have 6-7 mail totes full of boards.

Shipping shouldn't be over .40-45 lb from most standard locations as long as you keep the boxes below 70 lb and deliver it to the Fedex dropoff.
Surcharge over 70 and extra for door pickup. Couple of dollars here and there adds up.

Looks like all telecom to me. $3 plus should be the price from most buyers. What part of country are you in JAX? Im guessing jacksonville FL?

I went on the FedEx web site and did a quote for shipping and it was averaging $1/# for me. I'm not sure what the difference is using an account.

The other thing I wonder is, if I can get $3.50/# local for some of the larger ones, I'd rather do that and save on shipping. Thats if they aren't worth more of of coarse.

I'm in south Texas and can ship 69# boxes with Ewasted's shipping discount for 53 cents per #, so you probably can too. If you don't mind sharing, where can you get $3.50 per # on telecom in your area? It would be nice to sell some on my way through now and again... Thanks

personally I think board 2 and 4 are worth more than 3. how many pounds total of these boards do you have? I did a fedex quote from dallas to denver at 70 pound box and it came to $36 on my account. If you have a bunch of weight I am sure I could get Gorven to get a freight quote for us as well.

Check with your chosen buyer for a better deal than you can get yourself from fedex. They have accounts that get them better discounts from fedex. What has been given to you on costs for shipping is accurate.

I recommend you hold onto to your material until you feel you have all the info you need. Perhaps you can ship one small load and see for yourself how it goes. Mike.

There are 4 different boards that size that I have. I'd have to sort and weigh each type. Not more than 100# I'm sure. The smaller board#2, not as many. I'm working on getting more of each type. I just need to make room to get more!

As for the FedEx price. I did a rate quote and it told me roughly 1/#.

Again the price from fedex to you will be more than the cost for fedex when it is arranged through your buyer. I don't recommend buyers outside their threads normally. I have used both PartTimeScraper and Ewasted both understand shipping. Great folks to work with.

Ewasted arranged shipping through fedex except on one occasion I decided that I would handle it. I overpaid for the one shipment and went back to using Ewasted. Since then I have moved onto larger shipments that require pallets so that has changed the costs but Ewasted has continued to arrange shipping. Mike
