E-bay. They look new,if they are I would advertise them as such. Any orther info
on them would better your chances. :)

I am not a fan of ebay and their charges and paypal etc. mind you I have never listed on there but when i read that i have to pay them even if no one buys item i list i never went back. I understand where you're coming from but that's just the cost of doing business. There's not many outlets to sell things that don't cost money, even taking stuff to the scrap yard costs gas. Craigslist is good for some things but its not always the best option, especially on smaller items. Even if you do a flea market they charge you a fee to setup and you're not guaranteed to sell anything. Do a comparison of the different options. Let's just say that one valve will sell for $100 on ebay. Now lets use CRAZY numbers and say between shipping and all the fees it comes out to 50% of the final bid, so you pocket $50. No i wasn't trying to get retail but scrap price is nothing compared to what a person that needed them would have to pay. Just thought there may be a better place to reach those that use the valves. I know I would hate to pay 200 for one and would like to someone to benefit from it an not just have them melted down. That way everyone is wins. I am not sure what kind of system they are used. i assume commercial. They have been in my storage for a few years but never used.
I dont mind paying a fee if something sells. Its the fee for nothing being sold that rubs me the wrong way. I will stick to craigslist and a few other leads i just received. I am not trying to get rich from the sale but I am not paying for the chance to post on ebay either. Guess I am hard headed. :)
You could try a few plumbing contractors - to see if they might want to buy your valves. Not sure where you are located but there are all sorts of smaller classifieds around, both on the 'net and even the free print papers--all worth considering.
Not sure that the 1-1/2" ones are going for $200 unless you are looking at the big box store prices. A quick look at eBay suggested they go for more like $25 each but you also need to compare quality--a lot of valves are Chinese quality and cheap but there are others that are US quality and command a much better price.
It looks like you have three 1-1/2" ball valves, one x 1-1/4 or 1" ball valve, three 1" gate valves and a 1-1/2" swing check valve. Oh, and a big toe!! ;>)
The size should be cast into the valve body-I'm guessing on some of the sizes. The pressure rating will usually be on the valves as well--it will read something like "150 wog" which is short for "150 psi, water, oil or gas (service)"

Ebay doesn't charge listing fees anymore as long as you do less that a certain amount of listings. (I think 50 listing or $5000/month). Final value fees are 10% of total, and if you are paid thru Paypal their fees are app. 4.5% of the payment.

yes those in that pic are what you stated and what i listed on craigslist over 6 mo ago. 600wog and 150 swp I have a few more but in my listing i was more specific with brand names specs etc. I did have 2 responses to purchase but at the time i did not realize they still had COD at ups. I took the word of someone that didnt know what they were talking about when i asked if i could ship cod because the one interested person was not local. I have a bucket of them i can hardly lift with both hands so im guessing 60lbs worth. I think i will try some plumbers around here.
i dont pay the paper to list either. I maybe extremely frugal but i dont advertise in paper when i have a garage sale i just put out the signs. when selling a car i park it by the curb. I need a truck load of dirt will call pool company and see if they want to dump a load from next dig. I know most people just spend because it is easier that way or saves them time. I have plenty of time so I'm sure that is why I dont mind waiting etc. and saving a buck or two
thanks for that info musicman. will check it out and may use with some other items i have, but most items are such low ticket items i have a feeling with all the other charges etc make it not worth it. Started thinking of all the items i could scrap and as to make one trip and realized i have a lot more than i realized for an e-scrap load. Just now reading about all the different sorts. Glad i never throw anything away now i can turn it into a little cash.

6.95 for cost of cod and then no need for paypal as that cost is for buyers cost of shipping. I feel when i buy something i pay the shipping and as a seller i feel the buyer should pay the shipping. I know paypal is a great way to purchase and sell online with all the scams going it least it has safeguards but somethings I just dont do unless no other choice. Oh btw paying retail price for anything is a big no no for me. lol It will never stop amazing me how much money the average us house hold throws down the drain or overspends for nothing in return when with just a few little changes and paying closer attention to fees etc people could save hundreds to thousands a year. I will not get on my soap box now but I know most people feel the same as you but like I said I have plenty of time on my hands. ;)
