If you strip copper wire and cut all the ends and solder off its number 1 right ? What about the wire you unwind off of electric motors it has some kind of clear coating on it do most scrapyards count it with stripped wire or number 2 ?

welcome to the forum....it is customary to go to the introduction section and tell us a little bit about yourself. Also the question you asked has been asked and answered multiple times. All wire even if stripped is not always #1.
varnished usually goes as #2, the yards vary but usually the "legal" version is bigger than a pencil lead for #1.
