Guitar Hero Drum Set
So I found one of those drum sets for a Wii, thought it might have a nice board or something...Nope.

There was only two little boards.

Each drum head had one of these little circles in it. Brass chip? I dont even know what gold looks like, cuz I'm a dummy, but there's no way this is gold...

Coolest thing was these rubber covers for the drum heads. The Ol' Lady walked in on me playing one using an old water heater element for a stick... Had alot of fun with them.

Over all, not worth much unless you are bored.

Guitar Hero Drum Set
I picked up one of those a few months back. If I remember right the only thing was the legs were aluminum. not much other than that.
-
I have one in my "to be broken down" pile. Might just get move to the "to be junked" pile.

Guitar Hero Drum Set
Yeah theres not much of anything inside.

That brass disk is a piezo speaker, they use it as a basic microphone to "hear" your drum tap. All scrap is worth something! better two boards, than nothing! Thanks for the info!!!

Guitar Hero Drum Set
True, better than nothing. I had fun breaking it down anyway.

I pick those up all the time, the legs are metal and you get 2 small boards out of them and the cord that runs from the set to the game console.
Once, i picked one up and someone asked me if they could have the top part to replace their sons board in theirs and I said sure. I kept the bottom part and the wire. no biggie.

I took apart one of the guitars that was trashed. There was even less in there. Just a little low grade board with a few smmcs. Sounds like the drum sets are much better.

Or you could just sell them...
They go for decent money on evilbay.

Guitar Hero Drum Set
Burly, good point, unfortunately, I didn't know any way to test it!
-
Parts or repair, untested. I took a set to the local auction without any cords and untested and got 30 bucks.
-
I had a set about 3 years ago.. tried to sell it for $10 bucks at a garage sale.. no dice.. ended up in my shred pile too.

Today I picked up another Guitar Hero drum set with 2 electronic cymbals on it. There are 3 drums while the other ones have 4 and no cymbals.
It has been a few years since people posted values and prices for them here. I have been buying them for $2.00 to $3.00 complete and nice.
I was thinking I might figure out how to use them with my drum sets as I'm interested in checking out the electronic drums and cymbals.
AND I bought another mostly complete Ludwig drum set today with some nice enough Zildjian cymbals along with it.
Now I have 3 or 4 complete "real" sets and many parts for building my monster drum set this summer. Been collecting up sets and parts for awhile now and I'm a itching to clear out my music room area so I have ROOM for my drums. I also have over 30 snare drums most with stands, lol
