Research into Pentium Pro and here is what I come up with
I have been doing some research into Pentium Pro and while normally I advocate processing your own material with Pentium Pros however, my research indicates that there is no real way around it, it is just better to sell.
Typically its between 5-6 PP's that give you a pound.
Info on GRF puts the gold content in these chips at .3-.5 per lb. depending on variables like cache size, manufacturer etc.
So that means, you get 1.5-3g of gold per lb. Taking an average of 2.25g per lb, that would give you 90.67$ for a lb, more than likely less than that due to mitigating factors like losses during refining etc.
Not to mention cost of chems
It seems to be almost a no-brainer to sell them unless you got them all free. ( Hard to do being somewhat rare these days, not to mention, nothing really ever is free if you take time and gas into consideration )
Note: These are one of the things I havent processed myself yet, im sitting on a batch of 10 just waiting to get around to it, but the info from reports on GRF that I have found typically seem to be accurate. This conclusion is solely based on research.
