Cold, Snow,Scrap
I would consider my morning a success. We got some snow here in Mpls last night so first thing in the morning i went out to do my plow route. Got done pretty quick cause it was only a couple of inches. Got home at about nine i got a call from one of my plumbing contacts saying that he has some stuff for me. When over there and turns out he had to water heaters with some copper on them still and about 30 feet of cast pipe. On the way home i saw a couple of dumpster got some good metal out of them just random stuff. Stopped at the hardware store i work at they had a grill and a snowblower also a stove but i have to go back to get the stove tomorrow cause they didn't have time to so me it today. I also have contact that is going to have close to 1000 pounds or heavy duty i beam for me monday, sounds great but will be a b***tch to move. Just finishing up lunch going to so sort though the load will get some better pictures of anything good i found. I will keep you updated on the i beam should be fun.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Why wouldn't your yard accept it. My yard has a secondary market they sell it to. Because of this knowledge, I was able to find a secondary market on my latest challenge that is paying $ 300 a ton for uncut I-beams.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am pretty sure they will they are in pretty ruff shape i will grab a picture of them when i pick them up.
-
They will probably accept it with proof of ownership

Nice haul. I'd be strapping or chaining your loads in the back of your truck and trailer. Unsecured load ticket would take the fun out of the day.
-
@bejak thanks for the concern i had them unstrapped to fish out all the things that need to be broke down.

Is that a swing arm off a motorcycle?
Could be worth more than scrap if it is.
-
Could be off of a mountain bike as well. More pics of the swing arm please

I need help from any motorcycle guys/gals out there

That's what we refer to as a "basket case" in the motorcycle world... If you can find part numbers, VIN, or crankcase numbers, they should help. Do you know what kind of motorcycle it was? Chopper guys buy lots like that, i'm thinking it's from an old kawasaki based on the carb configuration...But then again, Im a bit rusty on old motorcycle parts. Haha, thats a bad pun.

@voodoodady It is from an old kawasaki but that is as much as i know as of now i will look at the parts closer to see if i can find any numbers. I will keep the post updated as a gather more information.

Here are some pictures from my load from today. Took in 1000 pounds of i beam for a 100 bucks today not to bad for a couple hours of work.

Any idea what this is? I was thinking about smashing it to see but i figured i would ask first.

Those I beams don't look too bad....If you have time and the space, you might try Craigslist next time to see if you can do better than scrap. As long as they are straight, rust isn't too much of an issue. New steel is about 70 cents per lb so the home hobby guys (and farmer types) would be looking for decent pieces.
The Little Giant thing---the name suggests that it might be a pump of some sort. Need an overall photo to tell for sure.
Jon.
