half plated gold pins??
As I have stated before I am fairly new to ewaste type scrap, so Im sorry I don't know many technical or correct terms yet. I was cutting gold pins from a circuit board that had a receiver to a plug (pulling the many pins out of the receiver) and I noticed that they seem to be gold plated on only one side?? I was wondering if this is an issue or if I can stick them in the same jar with my other pins to sell on ebay in the future, thanks!

I'm not sure which pins you might be talking about, but gold plating is gold plating; stick them in the same jar. They'll be processed the same way by the buyer anyway, either by melting them into an unrecognizable lump some fool will try and recover the values from, or the proper way. Just be sure to plainly and explicitly indicate in your listing that the material contains them, or the guy that buys them ends up with the pins and his money when he lodges his complaint. (One of many joys that go hand-in-hand with d'bay.)

I wouldnt be mixing the pins. You will only get a premium price if they are fully plated. If you mix then people will not know the ratio of fully plated pins to half plated and the price you will receive will suffer because of it.

sounds like it might be an old printer type connector, I believe the contacts in those were flat
