Resale value not sure, would need more information.
Scrap value yes. If they do have an aluminum casing then you can recycle them as dirty aluminum.
Some yards might not want to give you dirty AL price though, they will tell you they will buy them at steel price.

I add them to my dirty alum bucket yard dose not seem to mind, then again I am not turning in 100 at a time... As far as boards go I am getting $.22 a pound for them, so if I am breaking something down anyway, I remove them.
