Price is down .50 on shred, $8.00, had 1100 lb,aluminum down .2 to .40 had 48 lbs, Cans down .3 to .45 had 65 lbs,electric motors no change .20 had 25 lb,#2 copper unchanged $2.30 had 2 lbs, chopper wire unchanged .40 had 1 lb. ended up 146.45 and with this load the scrap pile is down to two empty metal drums, so start collecting tomorrow, my dad has 25 or 30 empty freon jugs. so I'll start knocking holes in them in the morn.
My yards all over the place , one day down on mix but up on short , then short goes down and mix is up . copper is up wile not much to do with spot price influence.
Stainless hit .49 - Al down to .46 - the more I pay attention to it the more I see no point. We have the product they get it sooner or later.
sure having a massive amt of CU or AL & other , we want to wait for that high paying day, but eventually we need funds so we sell
Yeah wish i could hold on to some,but gotta have the cash flow,but i did notice the other day at the yard , i might be able to include more plastic, i really clean my stuff,but i saw a truckload come across the scale with whole tv's,baby stollers, printers, etc etc, all the plastic left on it.So if thats the case i can save myself some time on some items.Quote:

I have never seen the local yard, dock anyone for plastic, but most of the loads i see when im there are generally low in plastic content,that load the other day just caught my eye,nothing was broken down. Now ive never had them complain about anything i ever brought them,but some of my buddies have seen them refuse large pipe,because of mud in them, and they said one guy came across with a cast iron tub full of dirt,They did loan him a shovel,LOL.and asked him to unload it off the premises.
never been deducted for anything. even took in a car rim with tire
he said he would take it long as it was only one
I regularly take in keyboards, printers, vacuum and other heavy plastic items
I love my yard

They are not hot on the scrappers lately and i SEE more plastic lately, and YES they pay less.

I've only been deducted for concrete in some pipes and when I bought a bunch of school desks. Took in 1 load of desks then the next we took another and the guy said his boss was b!tching at him so on deductions he wrote 20, not sure if this met pounds or dollars but when we get to the cashier she about hands us the money and were like wait we have a deduction. Shes like "I didn't see that"

Man, I just moved back to Florida and I'm adjusting to their lower prices. I'm holding on to all my copper. I am holding strong that it will get back close to $3.
