Boise area scrappers
I'm new to boise and i had a few questions for you guys. I was wondering where do you guys take your scrap to. I was about to go to united metals tomorrow but after reading somethings on here i might think twice about that. I also wanted to know what you guys do with rigid plastic like tv housing, vacuum cleaner bodies and other miscellaneous plastic parts that contain no metal. I could honestly care less about getting paid for the plastic, i would just rather recycle it than put it in the trash. I also have a few TV tubes laying around that i would like to get rid of.

IIRC Hoss was taking his plastic to Western in Boise. Last I heard they paid $80/ton. Whether that's a going rate, or a deal he worked out, I don't know.
The Nampa Western takes plastic, but doesn't pay for it. I drop it in their after hours bin.
I believe you can take the tubes to the Boise landfill and they pack them up to ship out for recycling.

Hoss would be a good one to talk to.
