I have been a long time lurker that has dabbled a little with scrap metal. Off late I have been wanting to increase my knowledge and the obvious step was to stop luring and start participating. I will (hopefully) be asking a lot of questions in the near future :)

Welcome aboard. Start by reading all the stickys at the top of each section. They will give a good overview and probably find answers to most of your questions there. We all welcome questions but try to use the search box first and if you get stuck then ask away.
