What do you, fellow members, propose as the best way of obtaining large amounts of circuit boards? Over 1ton per shipment?
You are going to have to purchase them in small quantities and pay per lb, or start a company that canvases, and then picks up e-scrap, or cut a deal with a scrap yard but then you are probably going to pay prices that make it almost impossible to make any money.
I did make a deal with an e-scrap company, I purchase computers from government auctions, they break them down and keep some of the material as payment, and I retain the e-scrap I want.

I'm looking at a pair of auctions for about 350 computers near me, not sure I want to spend what it will probably go for (since I usually only deal in stuff given to me for free) - what do you currently think would be a per PC price or lot price that you would spend on it? It looks mostly like HP DC5100 towers and also includes 80-120 15-17" LCD monitors.Quote:

One thing that people haven't mentioned, though: if you're in a larger city, the collection event may be your best friend. You'll have to do disassembly, but a few 48' semi trailers full of electronics should yield way more than a ton of circuit boards.
