Are washers and dryers just taken for their weight as shred metal or is there stuff i should pull out of them besides the cords? How much do u think a washer/dryer is worth as shred metal.

both of these were in the similar threads on the bottom, personally I look for loose change cut the wire and pull the motor
If they are newer models, make sure they don't have a bar of silver inside. Some make colloidal silver as part of the wash cycle to kill bacteria. I believe Samsung washers and maybe a few others have this option.

Learn how to fix them. I used to scrap them, but then tinkered on them to figure out what was wrong. Most of the time it's super simple.

whew,,,
Pull all wires, control pannel is either alum or plastic, Check if the drums are stainless, Brass conectors for waterhoses on the washers, gas line if its a gas dryer along with alum gasline, As for the motor they are now "Alum Wound Motors" so personally I dont bother pulling them anymore for .14/LB when shred is at around .10 - .12/LB. Also check for change and jewelry on the bottoms. Did I miss something????
I take them for weight, motor, and wires. That's it
Thanks for the links and quick responses as always! I think i am going to more actively respond to listings for these.
