Leave it on. That whole thing is sold as a slot CPU..usually a bit less than ram pricing.

Use a large flat head and shuck them like a clam.
Watch out, they bite!! lol, always cut my knuckles open popping those things apart
I did my first one of these this morning and this works. Take the faceplate off and there are two metal clips on the side with the three IC chips. Pop those off and the board falls off the heatsink.Quote:
