Hello from Wisconsin!
Hi Everyone. I'm Ken and I live north of Milwaukee. I stumbled across this forum after selling a few scrap cans about 2 weeks ago. While I was at the yard, I saw all of this stuff that folks were recycling. A light bulb went off in my head! I came home and started collecting all of the stuff around my house that I just have lying around...I'll take it in this week. then, I just happened to take the trash to the dumpster at work and low and behold I found some stuff there I could recycle.
I'm reading as much as I can here. Thanks to everyone that has put so much information up on this forum. I know I have a lot to learn and I know that I will make mistakes. However, this looks and feels as if could be very addictive!! My biggest obstacle? Keeping my wife happy so I don't have to many piles of recyclable scrap laying around for too long.
Oh, and I found the info on e-scrap. Low and behold I had 4 old laptops and two old tower computers in my basement. I've almost totally broken them down and I will be selling them soon (I hope) to get an idea of what my return for my time investment is.
Yes, I'm new and I realize that most newbies are excited at first and then burn out quickly....I think I have the bug tho'....I'm already looking for scrap as I drive along the road. I could see this being a nice little family business. One that takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but one we could do as a family.
Thanks again for sharing all of the information!

Ken, your doing the right thing in doing some reading, do some every eve. and you'll find out about things you never realized.
We even have buyers of ewaste here and you can read their customer reviews. Your local yard will not usually pay good prices for ewaste.
