My yard does, basically they deduct the weight of the tire from the total.
yep they all do
That sucks just started this, maybe 2 weeks ago.
mine does on farm equipment and trucks with 6 tires or more, 150lbs per tire, I can put up to 5 tires in a vehicle
Mine use to years ago
Now I guess they figure it is a trade off, They get as many good tires that they sell as junk they have to pay to get rid of
My yard charges 8 dollars per tire, but all the yards around me do it.
i think my yard does, i have seen them removing tires to send home with the scrapper
However, there is a pick and pull that is usually $20 or more per ton higher in the area that classifies it as "incomplete" and deducts for missing tires.
Were those tires mounted on Aluminum Wheels by chance?
Proper procedure in this area is to have the rims 1 lugged,
Last lug was already loosened before going to the yard
Then the Loader lifts car off the trailer, Pull the last lug, Rims get put in back of truck or on trailer
my yard charges $2 for regular tires and $5 for big tires
