if someone has time and the items, could you post a before and after pic?

I have a bunch of mother boards and I know you have to process them but not sure what all needs removed? Do you have to take off the can looking thingies? I know you have to remove the batteries.

how about the ..... ''frame?'' that the big chip sets inside of? I pulled one off and some of the plastic with the gold came off with it. the bottom part after the chip was removed. hate to waste any of that.

the square metal ''plugs'' where say, your phone line and other items plug in, does that metal/aluminum need removed?


so sorry for being a total ''duh'' when it comes to this and I realize folks will have differing wants but also dont want something returned because it wasn't done right 8-l

If you start pulling stuff off your motherboards, you will lose value from most places that buy them. If you're in Ohio, why not go over and meet Ewasted and let him show you how he wants his material prepared? He's a good guy with good prices and if I was within 200 miles of him I would save my stuff up and drive it in once or twice a month. If you have a different place to sell your items to, then go ask them to SHOW you how they want their items prepared. Then there's no way you can be wrong!!

Most buyers want the round battery, and excess plastic and metal to be removed. If you test them and resell them on ebay, you don't need to remove anything, but ensure they do function first.

This is what I take off of mother boards,other buyers might want things done diffrant. I take all heat sinks off, remove the prossesors,remove the memery. Any extra metal comes off, The plug ins can stay on. If I where you I would do what Scrappinred said, save up a truckload and take a raod trip to ewasted, the trip will pay for itself in the long run.
