I came out on top
First I would like to thank you guys for the info on smf. I'm a small time scrapper in a place where the competition is pretty heavy. With you guys helping me with all your post and comments ect.. Iv near doubled my cash flow. I went dumpster diving last I was beside a building witch I scored two microwaves as I was walking to my truck this guy was yelling and cursing calling me a bum and a low life crackhead I gave in to temptation turned and just as I was about to give him what he had coming I noticed that he was standing beside a dumpster as I got closer to him he ran off and just my luck there's 2 tvs 7 VCR/DVD players, 3 towers with monitors and a small pail of cords and wire. It made me laugh all the way home. Just thought I'd share so you can get a laugh as well.

Now you, too, can laugh all the way to the bank.

He was guarding the stash. LOL
On this one street I cruise down lives a family with a few kids...now I know they pick trash/scrap from time to time, I've come up on them loading/unloading. Not consistantly, but normally when the college lets out and picking is ripe.
Stopped one day across from them a few houses up as their neighbor was putting a few things out, guy comes out on the porch with a beer in his hand and 2 kids beside him calling me every low life name he could think of....shouting..."I WORK for everything I have..." yadda, yadda, yadda.
Loaded up what I stopped for, looked him in the eye, gave him my best bi*$chy smile, and waved pulling out.
Best thing is, all he had to say was "hey, I was going to grab that" and I probably would have said okay, no problem and left.

People like that make it all worth it to me sometimes can't wait to see if there's any clowns out tonight

Remember this, scrappers always come out on top.

New Construction surprising have mix dumpsters full of good stuff . naturally keep away when you only see metal.Permission is usually granted as you save them money by removing some weight.
