THis was in an old hp server. Ive never seen RAM like this before so im not sure what to do with it. Im hoping i can throw it in with my other gold RAM but im thinking not. Anyone know what its called?

I would call that, go on the vintage computer forum and see what those guys would offer you for it, Im sure more than scrap.
Just curious, what was the model of the server?
And why couldn't you call it RAM? It's been said many times here the chips hold a majority of the gold

I didn't notice the bottom of the ram. it looks like the receiver strip is attached to the ram instead of the board.
Yep reciever strip on the ram. Pins on the board.

Not exactly. The reciever strip is loaded with gold. Has 130 pins or so.
yea but its a connector not a finger, $2 pound vs $70 pound, big difference

That receiver still has gold contacts in it, probably dam good ones being an HP sever with 16MB sticks(16MB sticks in a name brand server = early 90s at the latest)Quote:
