scrap priceing
During December I was on Long Island and wile i made some good money for the few days I noticed mix load metal was way lower then what we are still getting paid by me $269 GT. But a rumor is out at my yard the prices are going down . I figure yards must have contracts with buyers so for a wile they know what they can pay
well some new deals must be in the works that something is in the air, and lower is what i think is on the way.

could be but, haven't ya listened to main stream media, there is a bazillion new jobs out there the stock market is at record highs, and the home market is on a record rebound soooooo, there will be way fewer scrappers out there.

Well yes lower price spells more out there . could a strong stock market indicate lower metal price ?
My friend reads a lot about finance ,the statement he always tells me is when the market is struggling gold silver is high from investors
when the market is strong gold silver goes down - Still if companies are flourishing they need metals for higher production.
on Long island I was paid $39 for 540 lb heater base boards - for sure I would have been paid $56 by me So i hope not for a hit like that as I work out of a smallish van that I generally top at around 1200 lbs. I still have a unfixed cargo van that could cary the weight to cover the need to hold the variable compensating amt.
