Have you ever talked to the maintainance department about buying their scrap?
Na i dont buy, dont have the equipment to haul that big stuff.
You don't get anywhere sitting and wishing/hoping.
Usually crawl before you walk, have to start somewhere.
Why not ask if you can pull the motors/wire from them before its hauled off, offer them a cut of the proceeds. A deal has to start somewhere, nowhere to tell where it will lead without trying.
Oh i'm not looking to make this a full time gig, it gets me some extra money.I have my regular job, plus commercial fish, the scrap is something to do when they fishing is slow.
ask for a scrap collection bin from the scrap yard.
i got one here thats free of charge and a free collection. i use the bin for light gauge only.I give the yard some of the good stuff.
i am not sure if its the same in the area your in or not but worth finding out.
Hey Arkansaw, not to change the subject(but I guess that's what I'm doing) I live in Florida just a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico and there are commercial fishermen everywhere. I was wondering were do you do commercial fishing in Arkansas. I know in the water, but is it like lakes or rivers? Also what kind of fish do you fish for? Scrappin minds want to know.
