Value of these boards

Here, is a sample of the new bountiful boards, this is what they look like before they get process,

Like to know what the value of these are. Thanks, these boards are clean before any chips are laid on,

I've been offered from 60 cents a pound which I dismiss to 16.00 dollars a pound, but after really talking to the manufacture of these memory boards they are worth a bit more, but its what the scrapper willing to buy it for is what I'm seeking.

So Please Chime In.

looks like sd memory sticks, minus the chips

Bear these are DDR Memory, some are Laptops which is not shown in the picture.

and some are SD sticks. what would you place your value on them at.?

My .02 worth is you probably get rambus price for them since they are blank ram chips

They have about $0.20 apiece in gold on them.

gold ram blanks = gold ram $17 pound, possibly $18-$20 pound if you have a good story to go with it like there rare or ultra high yield and a weak minded buyer to sell your story to. Dennis (philyscrapbuyer) pays $17 so thats the least your gonna get.

The top picture is intact green ram boards. The problem is the breakage on them has no/very little gold on it, its dead weight and subtracts from the value.

Perhaps if you buy it right, and move the material to a consistent buyer you wont have to have a concern for when the next guy who doesnt know any better will show up and over pay.

i disagree with the logic you used to make that statement, green ram/blanks are not classified as gold ram in my opinion they are slightly higher in yield because you get more sticks per pound and there is more surface area covered in gold because the chips are not there, i think you have grounds to throw out some words like higher yield, if you can sell your story you will make more money or it goes as the base value if you cant, definitely some good points to debate on an item like this =)

if its a specialty item and not a standard item that has set prices is it really overpaying/overcharging???

fact: ive gold green gold boards in the $30-$250 pound range depending on grade

also this lot of 13+ pounds for sale for $1400, that is solid plated on one side, better than fingers, not all boards are created/graded equal

Agreed.

I think it's a poor long-term idea to try and pull the wool over somebody's eyes when you're doing business with them.
Just like it's fool-hardy for a yard to short change a scrapper, which could lead him to giving up on the scrapping business (and therefore the yard losing that bit of business themselves), it's just as bad for a scrapper to scam a buyer... when they lose out, they may be inclined to lower prices, or stop accepting certain things.

If everybody plays a fair game, it will keep things profitable for everybody, for the longest amount of time.

bnbsfsd i went ahead and put a bid on it, i know how to move these and make 50% on them. I took some measurements of a standard desktop ram stick and did some calculations so i know how to process and resell them. Im gonna take the risk and throw out the hundred dollar bills and buy into the story on these. No need to pull the wool over my eyes Wolfy. MONEY TALKS, BS WALKS.

bnbsfsd Ill pay you $15 pound directly if you end the auction early and invoice me for it. That way no ebay fees. Or you can keep the auction going and take the risk somone eles is gonna buy into the story and pay more than the $17 base rate.

I am a printed circuit board designer. What you have are solder samples and boards that are still in the bulk panel for assembly.
In my opinion and in agreement with JGHILINO, they should be worth more than gold memory sticks. I started a thread without knowing this thread was here, about the value of gold fingers vs fully plated gold. If you could take a clearer picture close up of the pads, you should be able to see if it is just copper or gold plated.
I also agree about being able to market them as a higher yield given they have more weight ratio of PM compared to a fully populated board.

As a board designer you will know what the boards are worth. But the value of the ram is in the chips. Why do you think buyers pay close to the same for tinned ram? Also allot of the profit for the board buyers are in buying loose chips. ram chips run in the 1.75-2g per kilo of chips some even higher than that. JGHILINO has a way of being cavalier about board grades and prices and this is not always inline with reality of the PM content of the boards.
