I know the Copper Heatsinks add weight to the cpu but does it add value to take them off? Get $$ for the copper and then higher payoff for fiber cpu or is a wash?

Pretty sure the heatsinks have to be off to sell the CPUs. The copper is probably worth more than the cpu due to shear weight of most copper heatsinks.Quote:

I think he is on about copper heatsinks glued onto the chips themselves. If this is the case, leave them on.
Well if you pop the built in heatsink off a p3 fiber cpu, it will go from $6 per pound to $20 per pound in value. But you will lose half the weight. So you still come out ahead by removing them and selling them as #2 copper and the cpu as a fiber cpu.
