If you deliver escrap to a buyer, take them along to help pay for gas. Or when I have a few then my local yard buys them without wire for same price as transformers/motors, .25 lb.Quote:

local yards here just pay scrap metal, so i strip what i feel like on any given day. See what yours pay, or save them for delivery to a better yard
Call a few local yards and see how they pay for them. If they just pay for steel open them up cut the ins. wire out grab the fan and throw the board in your low grade box. The casing goes with your steel
Some people rip the transformers and heat sinks out also. Just depends how much time you have on your hands. I grab the transformers but don't bother with the heatsinks.
Different category but basically they pay CBM price here. I heard that some of the better ones sell on Ebay.
I have good luck selling any functioning ones over 500 watts on craigslist. especially any modular ones...
Yes anything 500w and above or modular(wires plug into power supply) gets tested and sold as working
