I Need A Computer Geek Please!

My computer is pissing me off. Laptop not affected. Just my desktop. I have a Dell Dimension C521. I use a Virgin Mobil 3GB USB for internet connection. $50 a month unlimited use. Vista home 32 is my OS. I can play games come to the forum but to do other things I like opening up alot of tabs I am a clicker also as well as a part time scrapper and can not do them. They will work for about 10 min then I will get Connection Timeout or Server so and so taking to long to respond. I have ran malware checkers, virus checkers, can not find a culprit. It is driving me crazy. Any suggestions.


Also can I copy Windows 7 from my HP laptop and run it on my Desk top?

vista is your main culprit and dell i hate them both lol i need your specs like ram size cpu size ? i wouldn't suggest copying it . i ran vista it it long gone i had to many issues also uses alot of cpu and ram to run it

If the Windows 7 came bundled with the laptop, no. If you purchased it separately, and want to move it, that's possible, but unless it's a multi-use license, it can only be used on one computer at a time, not on both at the same time.
If your internet service has a bandwidth limit, they could be throttling your connection speed if you're moving lots of data. Would have to check with them, with your contract, and ask yourself if you're exceeding their limits. "Unlimited" can be related to 24 hours a day/365 days a year, instead of unlimited bandwidth.
