Motorcycle Towing ???

Hello All,

Not much time again, But I wanted to share this Idea and get some feedback/ advice:

I use U-Haul for storage, and have noticed they seem to be the ONLY place around that rents car carriers (around $60 per day local),

Anyway, They have a Motorcycle trailer that's very nice, so I asked about it and it's 14.99$ per day local!!!

Been thinking about advertising motorcycle hauling (towing) on CL and motorcycle shop billboards.

I think this could work out , especially with charging around $100 per tow.

Well thanks in advance, I'll get back when I can, Just the best idea I've had last week and wanted to "throw it out there" for feedback is all.

Do you have Insurance to cover the bike you are towing incase it is damaged in your possession ?

Cant purchase that insurance from uhaul. Not for comercial use anyway. Also anything not physicaly attached to the tow vehicle will also not be covered under most auto policies. Like my boat for instance. If I didnt have insurance on the boat itself and I lost the trailer going down the highway. Auto insurance would cover the trailer but nothing on the trailer.

Im not sure where you live but I work for a tow company and here in ct the state rate for any tow is 92 just for hookup then $4.75 a mile after 2 miles We charge $69 for hookup and $5 a mile after 1.

might want to check on cargo insurance for commercial use. if somthing happens your load is covered. but will not be cheap i don't think. may also need a dot and mc number.

i was thinking of doing something simular but with cars,motorcycles,trailers,5th wheels,some boats. i was thinking of useing my pickup and 18 foot open car trailer to get started with. i know i would need cargo insurance,dot and mc number, but not sure on either CDL A OR B. like to haul like they do on uship. but for now just have to haul junk cars till i can get some money built up.
