key board question
Hi...my first post
I have about 12 key boards that that were intended for the consoles of MRI machines made by Advanced Input Devises. these were freebees, new in original packaging but have been in a cow pasture on a pallet in the open for a number of years.
I did google searches and called the manufacturer, they are over 10 years old and the MRI they were designed for is "probably" no longer used.
they sold new for $3200 each.

here is the front and back
hear is the front without the keybaord, just the board.

the IC with the lable has a window under the lable

My question,
Due to being in the rain and elements, I do not think it's appropriate to try and sell them as repair parts.
do these have a resale value above the mylar sheets I see on ebay?
should I knock off the IC chips and toss the rest in with the steel.
Thanks in advance for any input and opinion

I would just list them exactly as you described them with enough pictures to show customers exactly what you have. Let them make the decision to buy or not. Put in a price that you think is good, maybe even go higher, then with the option for them to make the best offer. Worst case is that you are right back at this point in 30 days and havent lost a thing. Take a chance of finding that ONE guy that needs these specific items for parts or whatever. Might be shooting in the dark but i've sold crazier things with full disclosure before :)

my thoughts exactly Shen, let the market decide. if they're well wrapped they might be hardly bothered by the weather
you'll also find a large market for our older goods overseas, I sold a score of things that way, and never had any real problems. One early on wanted economy shipping, so I shipped it ground, which becomes surface at the dock, and he and I both waited almost 8 weeks for it to get there by ship, but once he got the package all that was forgotten, and he turned out to be a great customer on a large number of computer parts, but of course opted for more expedient shipping after that.

And if all that fails then you can sell the boards for around $2.00- $4.00 a lb
