ive been looking into sending out materials to be processed (refined) and have heard a lot of scary response's hope to get more info

Welcome to the forum. Check out some of the buyers in the buyer/seller section of the forum, about the best prices you'll find and they are honest people. Stey away from the refiners unless you can supply tons of e-waste.
