Hello.

My name is Dan and I am new to the scrap metal business. I have been researching metal prices for the last few months and have been inspired to pick up scrap metaling as a hobby to make a few extra dollars.

I became interested when I saw a video about scrapping circuit boards for gold using nitric acid, I managed to get over 3 ounces of 22kt gold in a single attempt. After smelting the 3 ounce chunk (22kt) sold for $4100 (Australian). The by-product of this gold scrapping was ALOT of steal and aluminium scrap from the chassis of computers/audio equipment and I thought to myself surely this has to be worth something.

After reading a few of the forum topics here my interests peaked and I decided to sign up.

Hi, welcome, i'm new too kinda.
that's like top dollar for 91% gold, who buys it?
i'm building up a pile of boards too, might come in handy knowing where to sell things like that.
