A partner and myself are planning to start an auto dismantling business in Dallas, TX.
Anybody know about the storm water permit process ?
I understand that if your operations are indoors and sheltered from rainwater that you can file a "no exposure certification" - just wondering what this process is like and if it is really possible and if not what does permitting like this cost ?
Call your city storm water division. They should have yours and all addresses categorized and will know all requirements. I'm required to maintain a storm water permit. My indoor process must still be diked or burmed off. I have concrete sealer along the edge of my entire building and a 4 inch Burm along all door ways wear run off may be able to leave the building. My permit is $250 in Oklahoma every year. Every year I need to fill out forms to let them know if my processes have changed.

In Colorado if it is indoors and there is no floor drain, you are good to go. Store nothing, I mean nothing related to oil/gas/batteries/antifreeze indoors, keep it moving and you will be fine.
Dj what area you going to be at? Phone number? I'd be interested in looking through tire pile and for some 5x5.5 15x10 wheels. (old body style ford truck)
