I do not know what this came out of. It was in a box of mixed boards I got from a guy in Boone, IA.
I sure have not seen one of these. It looks like some old school scary lab experiment board!

Im for sure I have no clue what you've got. It's very different. Besides the gold ends, there's not much anything else going on Outside of that mystery bulb thing. I wouldnt scrap it if it was mine. I'd hang it up and call Scrap art. I think it's cool.
Ahhhhh! Boone, IA!!! It's got to be one of those very rare *******(sorry, top secret) If you're really serious about finding out, you might have some luck asking on the Vintage Computer Forum, a lot of those guys build their own boards from scratch. Even though it might not be from a computer, and if nothing else, they could likely give you a better idea simply from the components on it
You have the fingers that are gold plated and the 2 red switches in the top of the 1st picture that should have gold plated legs and a gold plated rocker arm inside for the contact point's. If you decide to take them apart.
I will not scrap it. It is in fact way to cool for that! We do have a computer shop also, so it will certainly give people something to talk about.

it may help narrow things down a bit by who made it and what it does
so far i can only make out the company name starts with a K and is from santa barbara usa
It almost looks like an audio tuner card. Not sure how old and I could be very wrong. But the knob on the front and what looks to be an audio input on the back. Just can't tell from these pictures. Have you tried looking for a # printed on the card?
Edit: I actually see now that it's a switch on the back not an audio input.
Here is a close-up of the writing on the glass bulb. @Synin: There are actually 2 toggle switches on the back. The "knob" on the front does not turn in any way and actually has a very small metal lined hole in it.

What I'm finding is a Kilovac Glass Relay. However, I don't know what type. I do see on ebay they are quite expensive. If you can find out the type of relay it is or board it's on. The one's I'm seeing on ebay run from 80-120 a piece. Not sure if it will be that much but worth looking further into.

I did a google search and a few companies came up with kits for making an electric vehicle. Couldn't find that specific item tho;

Do a search on Ebay for Kilovac 18741 found one for $89.
I would list in on ebat with as much info I can find on it.
