Laptop CPUs
I broke down a few old laptops for the first time. I'm not sure about the CPUs.... I've not seen it discussed, and I couldn't find any clarification on laptop cpus on the buyers section. I got excited when I found a 486 until I realized that it wasnt like the ones from desktops. It is soldered onto a small board. Do they need to be removed from the board or sold as is? Does it still sell for the same $? I have a pic, but it won't post. Says I'm to new. Thanks for any help, Adam

i'm not that familiar with them either MO, I think they're on a different scale though, and I doubt they need to be separated

MOscrapper can you upload the pic to TinyPic.com, and then post a link to it here? A pic would get a quick answer for ya.

I tried to post a pic via photobucket, but it said I wasn't allowed to post links.

Hope someone can tell you something about them. I would like to know myself.

Laptops are usually a pain to tear down for a minimal payday so "most " of us just sell them whole or as-is to a buyer.
