-
Nice olddude. So how many Servers did you rip down to get that weight?
-

Nice! It's always interesting to see what comes out of computers. It's never the same and never seems to tear down the same way either. I need to score on some servers it looks like!
-
Danm over 25 lbs of boards from each unit O.o can we get some photos of the whole sever and one with the door open showing all the goodies. Also is the servers IBM RS/600 theres a set im watching right now and to far to do a inspection.
-
I just grabbed 5 very large sun servers and they look complete (Even have the harddrives) I need to get my lazy arse out there and tear into them.......Hope they are as good as yours olddude
-
I have done sun servers, they wont come close to these unless they are u4 or u5 but they are much quicker to tear down and have some nice stuff except for pinless processors
DU I have one half tore down I will stack the modules on top and try to post some pictures tomarro. These servers only have one small access door the rest are all modules that take a dam* crane to pull out and the boards are all inside the case, secured by rivits. I think ya could drop one of these off a ten story building and it would still work. im guessin the cases at 100lb

Sounds like to much fun. but must be a pain to pull everything timely.

I couldn't beleive it when I got these servers I picked up today.....5 servers I picked up 4 of them SUN......Over 40 sticks of memory and 18 harddrives between them......My initial investment of $40 was well worth it LMFAO
