Awesome Score today... Any of you familiar with old Geology equipment?

I got the fortunate opportunity to assist in a clean out today..I ended up with several fiberglass containers with geology equipment from I believe the early 80's. I was also fortunate to get some great boards from the same time era I belive they were out of some old computers and phone systems..

Most of the geology equipment has been sitting outside for years (the containers were waterproof at one point but the seals wore out) and they have visible water damage.. I doubt that any would work but it’s still pretty cool looking non the less. Not sure If I should tear into it or not... I doubt there is a much of a market for 30 year old geology equipment..

Anyway wanted to share a little. Was a great day. Any input is certainly welcome.

Couldn't see the pics but I wouldn't get scrap happy until you research. You just never know. Kicked myself more than than once, really bites when you find out what for you 20.00 in scrap was worth several times more than that on fee bay. Just my .03, I added .01 for inflation

yeah, always research it, many times there are collectors who want one single part from it that'll more than return the scrap value

use the model numbers in google, and look for ebay sales and forums discussing it

Great looking boards, take your time to maximise your profit on them. On the test equipement I would open one just to see what's inside. There may not be a lot of value inside but some of the connectors likely have gold plate on the pins. They look like the connectors we used on miltary aircraft. I expect the containers are Al. Mike.

Nice lookin haul. Congrats an yes allways look it up befor you scrap it. Some very good advice from the above members.
