Hi to all, It seems to me that small awg stranded wire like 18 or 20 the individual strands are about the same size as the very small wire found on small transformers and things.So I dont understand why some yards advertise no hair wire but say nothing about small stranded wire.You would think if they found a way to make hair wire they could find a way to reuse it,like mash it in a 100 ton press or something so it does'nt vaporize when melting it.Thanks for any input.
I don't get why they don't want 'hair wire'.
My yard loves it, as the insulation on it (just varnish) is really thin & a normal copper colour & the wires absolutely 100% clean. (no solder).
I think that they only electroplate the #1 & #2 copper to refine it, then melt it & make only electrical wire with it.
Though I sold a lot of burnt wire as #2 today, still, its almost 100% electrical copper wire, no clips & a tiny amount of still tinned wire.
But I have never been warned about Angel hair copper wire before by any of my yards.
Mix it w #2.. never had a prob with that..gets all tangled n such..been a while since i turned in copper..sittin on 500 plus but they just take a quick glance at my yard..put it near the middle of ur container n u should have no issues..also kbow the weight of the tub or box..they tried to tare me 10# once when i knew the container weighed 6.6.. grrrr.. i was right of course n they apologized..gl
ive heard it gets tangled..who cares? their problem..its copper #2
