To start, my biggest problem right now is that the yard local to me wants me to get Freon removal stickered. The issue there is that, as of right now, I don't know where I can get that done for free, or for very low cost. I am currently sitting on one AC (which I am yet to pull apart). I'm scheduled to pick up a standing freezer tomorrow along with another AC. My dad even has several fridges and other Freon stuff. As of this moment I can't turn them in, so it's just cash sitting there. How have other people worked around this situation?

I understand that there's a lot of value in different e-scrap. However, I'm having difficulty understanding where I'd send the "circuit boards" and other stuff. Do those go right to the scrap yard, too? If so, is that the reason why a lot of the e-scrap is worth it? Take your boards, other misc metals, sort all the wires, and get rid of the plastic? (Unless you're going to keep the plastic to try to sell, too.) Is this mostly for computer towers? Or will it relate to just about anything that has a motherboard?
There isn't motherboards in everything, if it's a brown board then it's a circuit board. There is a little bit of gold plating on some brown boards but not usually. You can have a mid-grade without gold on them, just have a lot of IC chips. There is decent boards in printers and fax, hi-end telephones, and other stuff. The answers are all in here if you take the time to read it. There is also some good buyers here on the forum that have great references also. Take the time to read and all your questions will disappear.
