The Goodwill in the small town I live in won"t take them for recycling. I called and spoke to the managers themselves. I thought Goodwill took the nationally.
Try another good will. Or,tell em they advertise that they take electronics in Any condition failure to do so is False advertisingQuote:

So, my plan A (goodwill) failed but, my plan B stepped up.
I think that when companies or facilities are accepting tvs for free they are assuming that they are complete tv's. When they say they are accepting TVs in any condition, I think they are referring to working or non working not, scrapped or non-scrapped. If anyone does plan on dropping TVs off at Goodwill you may want to keep it on the down low (dont make it obvious that they are scrapped). Me personally Im not going to go through Goodwill anymore because I want it to be worth it for them also. I know that the plastic shells can be recycled as abs plastic and there are new machines out there that separate the lead from the glass but, perhaps it isnt that profitable enough.
