Yesterday I was cleaning a radiator from an old catepillar excavator, I was excited since the thing was about 5' x 5'. But when i got to cutting it into smaller pieces (easier to load and unload). The thing started sparking. After i got it cut apart i saw that the fins were steel. :(

I was wondering what type of pricing i could expect from this. Brass Breakage?

Steel fins would not release the heat, alum. does but steel retains heat. Makes no sense to me,,,Quote:

I have run into stainless steel spiral fins on copper tube before.
It's a tad bit goofy. I did check it with my magnet and it stuck.
hi we have steel cooling radiaters at our power station brand new so they are out there.
Ok so I'm a buyer for a yard and if I buy those I generally pay 50-75 cents pp. it's a dog item with no way to upgrade it so yard will just flip and make a small profit. However with prices the way they are and where they are heading over the last few weeks I don't think anyone will be aggressive!
