i'm still using an analog i bought in 03 with a digital converter box bought several years ago when ours switched, can't remember exactly when it was
converter boxes are crap unless they are conected to a roof top antenna. dont use rabbit ears because if its rainy or windy or somebody is near by and moving around they wont work.
LOL! Aussie, thats the cry of the masses right there! "Save analog and turn of digital!"

I used a comverter box with rabbit ears and it worked fine until a plane flew over.
Digital TV is pretty good compared to analog. With my rooftop antenna (same one I used before the switch to digital) I get like 50+ channels (granted some are spanish and part time religious channels) but the picture is 100% perfect all the time no matter the weather. I just have a 32" Vizio 720P (1280x720 pixels) TV.
Cheap converter boxes are ok for old TVs (have a couple) but they only do 640x480 or something like that and with widescreen you get lots of black on the screen. I just got the boxes for my old 27" Panasonics TV I keep around (mostly for old video game consoles).
Grab a TV with Knobs on it and watch DTV on it lol, i have an old knob style tv, its a '76 AWA colour tv, nice little tv
