Obtaining permission for taking pictures of work being performed.

I am curious to know what the easiest way that you have found to obtain permission for taking pictures while you and your crew are performing work at a clients home, place of business, to show potential clients the work you can do.

I normally, simply ask them if they mind if I, or someone with me, takes a few people pictures of us working, provided that I don't list their home address.



When it comes to business, I not only ask them for permissions, but ask them if they mind if I use their company name as well. Most always agree to let me use their name, as it is free advertising for them.

I am, however, thinking of editing my submission forms slightly to obtain the permission from there. That way, it saves me time on having to talk, etc.

So, I like to have others opinions on what you have found to be the easiest way.

I agree. That is how I do it now. This way, they can look me in the eye and know that their stuff wont be blasted every where.

Make yourself seem more personable to the business so they know who is on their property and that they can trust someone willing to take the time to talk with them. Getting chatty can lead to other business as well. I am less likely to write someone off if they take the time to speak with me.

I am chatty enough to gain more business. It was just an idea to speed certain steps up. Which is why I asked for people's opinions that do this like I do, what they have found to be the best way.

I use submission forms on all my websites to obtain the information needed for each pickup.

I create them, using a 3rd party site called http://www.jotform.com.

Think Oklahoma is a bit of a drive lol.

I just like taking pictures of the work being done, so other potential clients can see us in action and know what kind of work quality that they can expect.

That's a fact, George. Any company will do well to picture themselves in action, as well as before and after. I think you're right on with the inclusion in the form, just be careful with what, and whom, you include in the photos
