seen the weirdest thing at the yard
A casket ! I asked old boy wtf ? And.pointed at the casket,he told me someone moved their dads remains and had to have a brand new casket to be burried, again ! The company, triguard I believe, bought the casket in. Kinda creepy and not something you'll everyday at the yard

My dad has one. He was getting his garage broken into, so to deter theft he bought a coffin and set it up in there. It worked.

So was it rotten steel or stainless or what is my only question. That is kinda gross if you ask me but then again everything has an end of life and is either trashed or recycled.

Folks that have those pacemakers are "worth" something in scrap, as well. Don't they have platinum in those things?

Kinda off topic but there's a possible niche in recovering metals after a body is cremated.

Now you got my mind going, I wonder what they do with all the metal parts that are in peoples bodies afteer cremation. Screws,pins,plates these are all ss and some are heavy. Has anybody ever checked into getting any of this stuff from a crematory?

If you ever need to buy one of those the last place to look is the funeral home they charge about 3k for them. Costco carries them now Costco - Funeral

I SEARCHED FIRST... anyway yesterday at the yard the guy in front of me brought in two morgue gurneys with the stainless trays that they load the bodies into the cooler on. I asked the guy working the scale if he knew what they were, he didn't and when I told him I don't think he believed me. but when I was like why else would you have a 6' long 2' wide 4" deep stainless tray if it wasn't to contain the fluids? and as light duty and narrow as they were, they were not worried about the people jumping off. he turned a shade of pale I've never seen before on a Hispanic guy when it clicked in his head.
