    no contract housing

so when i left the college dorms i moved into contract housing. it sucked, always paranoid about screwing up this or that, loosing our deposit or dealing with all sorts of bs.
first chance i got i left and moved into some ****hole with no contract. i enjoyed it

half way throught he middle of the month the nieghbor is like "wanna move into a room in my house? fifty bucks cheaper" and im like 'sure,' so i tell my current landlord and 15 days later im in that room, no contract signed or nothing

so ive been running broke and thinking bout moving back home and halfway through the month i tell my landlord that after halloween im gonna move back home and shes like "noooo u didnt give me 30 days notice" and im like okay fine then well now you know... and even though theres no contract im like, oh well, i dont mind paying an extra two weeks... well its now after halloween and she wants rent for the full month saying i cant just give thirty days in the middle of the month and its like
    1. where in the contract does it say thiat
    2. i didnt give old landlord 30days when you pulled me out his house, so why should you be so speciall

also she was planning on kicking me out at the end of the year so her other friend could move in, now that i think about that, i should just say screw it and move everything out while shes at work tomorrw, ya?

If you signed no contract/lease/rental agreement with her, then you are under no obligation to do anything. You can leave now and she has no legal grounds.

Now, if you had signed something with her, and she wanted you out, then by law she has to go through the courts and give you a 30 day eviction notice.

You can give a 30 day notice at any time during the month. Legally, 30 days is 30 days regardless of when it happens. I had this problem years ago with a landlord and he sued me over it. In the end, he paid my legal expenses and the judge gave him a nice dressing down for being a prick.

No contract means no contract. No obligations beyond what's required by State law.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
