I watched a DVD called "Exit Through The Gift Shop" the other day that is about graffiti art. I found it interesting that some graffiti art was selling for three hundred thousand to art collectors.

It seems that some people will buy most anything that they believe is valuable in some way.

I have put thought into what makes something a collectable and came to the conclusion that it was anything that people believed would go up in value.

    Like beanie babies.

I have mostly chosen wisely with my collections as the values have gone up over the YEARS. I found a video game I bought about 15 years ago for maybe a dollar is selling for over $200.00 in the condition it's in. That's just one game out of a lot of 5 that a friend picked out of a box that he was interested in. The lowest value was $20.00.

I have many thousands of games that I bought when the market didn't see much value in them. I keep most of what I've collected, but I will trade some for other things I'm interested in and sometimes will take cash if I like the deal.

Selling is a BIG ballpark that I don't enjoy playing in as many people like to try and cheat and lie. Even trading is tough as there are not many that know how to trade fairly. They believe that what ever they have is a lot more valuable then what you have. And the funny part is that once they have something it's value increases like magic.

But back to the graffiti. I have always enjoyed watching the trains go by and checking out the graffiti on them.

Personally I view it as RUDE for people to deface others property without permission.

But many do it. So I will look at what they did as it's part of this backwards world we try and live in.

Many don't like the way my place looks with all the STUFF I have laying about, but a FEW see it as I do, a wonderland of lost treasures and piles of SCRAP metals.

    Works for me.

I was a tagger back in the day... i gave it up after getting older and if caught be tried as an adult. We use to hit up bridges and stored railcars parked on the sidings back behind the Thornton limestone quarry. I believe that 2nd pic, the piece thats purple is from a guy that was from East hazel crest Il. He kept at it while me and my 2 buddies started drinking beer instead getting into trouble.... If im right about this, the purple piece is from a tagger that goes by the name of XQZ.
