    Jesus Christ Superstar

I'm Sitting Here listening to Jesus Christ Superstar as I sip on some Hawaiian beers and smoke my little smoke. The weather has been agreeable enough.

But anyway, when I listen to Jesus Christ Superstar I think back to when I first heard it in 1972. I saw the movie in the theater with my best buddy. We found the music interesting, as we found Cheech and Chong and Santana.

The 70's were interesting as I was in my teens. When I think back then It's a time and place that I wouldn't want to revisit.

I never think about if I had did things differently and such, but I find that many others do.

I was visiting a woman that's sort of related to me and we were talking about if you could go back to when we were younger. She was all for that as she started talking about how she wouldn't of done this and that.

She is a very unhappy camper as she is very rarely in a good mood. Has been that way as long as I've known her that is over 50 years.

The conversation was short when I told her that she would of done things much the same as her mode of choice hasn't changed.

But anywho, who is familiar with Jesus Christ Superstar?

I find the rock opera quite interesting in the way it was written. It's like poetry.

I saw the rock opera performed live back in the day. Don't really remember anything about it except the phrase " Jesus Christ ... Jesus Christ ... Who in the world do you think you are ? "

I might not even have that part right though. Human memory isn't very reliable.

I have watched the stage version on DVD a couple of times since it came out. I didn't find the stage version as good as the original version.

I dunno ... might be the frailties of human memory thing again. I try to check my memories against the written documented history when i can. The Broadway musical first debuted in 1971. That was the stage/live concert thing. They did a film adaptation of the play in 1973 and then another later on.

I probably would have been 11 or 12 when i saw the stage play. You don't know much about the world at that age. I mostly remember that school sucked and getting into a few street fights here and there.

It's kinda useless to think back and dream about doing things in a different way. We always do the best we're capable of at any given moment in time. It would have been impossible to do any different than what you did. Regrets are a heavy load to carry to the grave with you. They're a burden on your soul. Better to chuck em' if you can and then move on.

I didn't know there was a stage play before the movie. The stage play I saw was recorded on DVD. I still have a copy or 2 of it around here.

The movie is worth a watch as it is very entertaining.

I listen to the soundtrack from the movie.

I was raised in a very religious family and dated a girl that was a devout Catholic. I never saw the play or movie, but listened to the sound track (religiously). I am more spiritual than religious these days, but the music sings within my heart. Thank you Childhood Dream for bringing back the memories.
Give back more to this world than we take.

I'm doing much the same as I was doing in my first post.

I like to look at the who's on the site list.

When I signed in I noticed I had a Thank You and saw that it was for this thread.

So I'm listening to the soundtrack from the 1973 movie as I type this.

My Life is about the same as the Life of a cat or dog.

I watched people when younger until that became a bore, simply put.

So then I started watching the wildlife and animals around me.

I feed them and they like to interact with me for the food. They basically put up with me. But some do like to interact on a much more personal and blending experiance.

I have had many critters from mice to deer interact with me on a level where they were comfortable with me far beyond what is expected or "normal".

Just as humans have their many moods and beliefs is much the same with the critters and such that interact with us.

on another note, "What's the buzz, tell me what's a happening"?

Just a few of my thoughts for getting your mind clutch in gear.

No great rush as long as you are on the right path that makes you a happy camper....
