Okay ... now ... this part is interesting. You frequently talk about rituals. You served in the military so you know that precision in speech is important.

It's easy enough to pull a definition of the word off the internet.
Ritual: a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.
Okay .. so .. have you ever heard of ritual being referred to as a practice of the craft ? (Some also refer to it as the craft of the wise.)
Do you actually know what a practice of the craft is ? ( You probably won't find it in the dictionary or even in a wiki article. ) That's one of the mysteries of many of the world's faiths & traditions.
If you really don't know ... how can you possibly presume to judge it ?
This is all just philosophical stuff. It might be intellectually stimulating and provide you with some of that human contact that you need.
To misquote Shakespeare:
