I had an AWESOME ( ) weekend in LV in the 90s. I had saved a couple of grand for our planned trip out there from Colorado, and the night before, I couldn't wait to scratch that itch, so I took $100 to Central City, CO and came back with three grand!

I took 5K to Vegas... bungee jumped, bought a big-ol gold nugget ring (which I pawned a couple years later ) a New Orleans Saints embroidered leather jacket (which I still have) and brought home enough money to pay cash for a brand new Nissan pickup. Every machine I sat down at paid me a bundle. I hit a $50 bet on 0 at a roulette wheel. I didn't lose money at poker, which is a switch for me!

There were some other dalliances in Nevada that need not be discussed here. All in all, a great time.

Relevance is, at one point, I walked out of the 4 Queens with about 18 grand in my pocket. It was a very nervous ride back to the Luxor!!!!!!!!!!
