    it's so depressing...

As we look at our current situations like going out wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing or physical distancing, and abiding by some restrictions, all of these are so depressing. How are you guys dealing with this matter?

Avoiding cities, crowds, and people in general is easier here than in most areas of the country. Although this life style provides peace of mind it does not stop the virus. I guess we are learning to live with the virus, not focused on dying from it.
Give back more to this world than we take.

Would be better to focus on how we can live without the virus rather than living with it. Viruses can be defeated, it just takes some effort, cooperation, money and science. The US gov was kind enough to invest billions of taxpayer dollars into making a vaccine. As long as everyone gets what they paid for (the vaccine), by this time next year we will all be back to normal and forget about the rona. That's the hope anyway. Unfortunately we are still about a month away from when it gets really bad in terms of deaths from the virus. Before it is over everyone will know someone personally who has died from it. Could even be one of us on here that never logs back in. Who knows. That's just how she goes sometimes.

Nothing to deal with. Nothing to it but to do it. Just wearing a mask, staying as distant as possible and going about life as per usual otherwise. Not really much else you can do, and not really anything to be depressed over. Things could be much worse. Theres kids in africa picking through garbage piles to eat, and people in our own country who live under bridges in the cold and rain. If wearing a mask and not sitting down at a restaurant is the worst thing I ever have to face, I think I'll have made out pretty well.

When I’m feeling down about the country and the future, I read Ron tweets from @CodeMonkeyZ

Then I don’t feel so down anymore.

For those people that thrive on personal attention and interaction with other people, it has got to be hard. However, just like everyone else said, you have to adapt. We're lucky there is a vaccine. This could have been a new way of life, and still could be if something else pops up.

Why do you come on here and brag about how much you haul and prices? Why do certain other people come on here and brag about old things from when they thought they were cool and worked for 2 years out of their life?

    Why ask why?

Simple answer, to give encouragement to those unfamiliar with the trade.

The "world" is a small place in a BIGGER picture.

I believe that the illusion of "money" and power is what drives most everything.

I try and look at what's missing in what I read and see.

Ohh wow ... you really understood.

My oldest son is having a hard time too. He's a very social guy .... always has been. Loves to do things in groups and be around lots of people. He works hard running his own business. During his off time he sits as master of the Masonic lodge in his city, goes to concerts, nightclubs, and comedy clubs. He thrives on social contact.

He's been feeling cut off too. All there is in his life is work ... about 60 hrs a week to keep his business running. There was no playtime to balance it out and it was getting him down.

Lately, he's been using his energy for self improvement. Spends a lot of time working out in his home gym. Also into healthy eating and cooking for his wife & son.

It's a personality spectrum. On one end, there are folks who are very group oriented and need lots of social contact. On the other end are people like C.D. , Patriot, and myself who need lots of solitude.

~ Just different kinds of people. ~

I am also trying to figure this out but it needs a lot of work and adjustment to do.

If so, that's up to 7.7million less people dying. So seems pretty good.
