How to get ahold of forum Admin?

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the forum admin or Andrew? Even a couple years ago, I was never able to contact anyone with the support ticket system. I have sent PMs to them here on the forum, but I don't even know if they come here anymore. Who and how to contact?

I think all tickets requests are going into a dead letter drop box.

If something is bothering you spit out publicly on the forum and we'll sort it out for ya.

Oh, no it's not something like that. I really would like to chat with the person who runs/owns the forum. I want to see what's going on. Maybe they don't even want it, and feel stuck with it. Not sure what would come out of it, but I am just interested.

Yes, with support tickets, I have never gotten a reply from there since I signed up in 2012.

The performance of the forum as a revenue generator in its current state is definitely not blue chip, but I believe as many others do that under proper management this site could this site could prosper.

The first order of business I would do is find a new host.

I am a software engineer/solutions architect as my day job. I have build, managed, and supported, many large scale applications (both web/http applications and backend other type of applications).... I 100% agree with the fact they need new hosting. It has gotten better recently... but is not great. A while ago I set up this to track the sites status

    https://statuspage.freshping.io/10644-scrapmetalforum/
    https://statuspage.freshping.io/1064...imefilter=2160

As you can see, where-ever it is hosted .... is not great. I have offered to help transfer hosting to somewhere that isnt garbage a few times (AWS would be my recommendation, but google cloud would work too)

I doubt whoever the owners of this site are are trying to sell it or get rid of it.... any established site with a user-base is hard to rebuild, and if I was them, as long as I wasn't lossing money, I would keep a hold of this site.... but.... if they are trying to get rid of it.... I'd like to throw my hat into the bidding war lol

Their whois info says they are registered (and also probably hosted, but cant be sure) through bluehost.com... I would think they would have their act together but perhaps not.

While I wouldn't want to "dump" the site if I owned it, ANY community resource like this should be something that the owner would want to see prosper. That's why I'm with you- I'd find a better host. While I'm at it, probably a couple more moderators and guys to make hype for new features and stuff. Heck, the last new feature I remember seeing was the "Scrap Breakdowns" section, and that was like 5 years ago
